About Me.
Emmalene Vidot - Guiding yoga practice to me
Emmalene Vidot - Guiding yoga practice to me, is about creating calm, inviting presence, and giving permission to simply be. In a world that constantly asks us to chase outcomes and measure productivity, I see yoga as a quiet rebellion, and an opportunity to soften.
My own practice began seven years ago through pranayama (breathwork), and breath remains at the heart of how I teach. While I love guiding asana (poses), I’m deeply passionate about integrating the often underrepresented branches of yoga into my classes by inviting philosophy, stillness, and awareness alongside movement.
With a background in media and filmmaking, I bring a thoughtful, story driven lens to my teaching, weaving sequences in with philosophical themes. I trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin at House of Om in Bali and am committed to continue learning.
Yoga has grounded me through immense periods of grief, and that lived experience shapes my approach. I teach with compassion and without judgment, understanding that each of us arrives on the mat carrying something different. My hope is to offer what yoga has given me: a place of self-compassion, restoration, and steady presence amidst life’s fluctuations.
